My goals for this project was to create a piece that reflected homelessness in today's society. I wanted to create something that was very simple in structure, I did not want to take away from the main theme of homelessness. I took heavy inspiration from one of Keith Haring's untitled pieces prices. In his piece there were two figures holding up a heart together. I really enjoyed the simplicity of this design, so I decided to recreate this but insert a house instead of a heart. I thought that Keith Haring would be fitting because throughout his life he produced art that spoke on many public issues. The issues he addressed through his art were often controversial. Homelessness can be seen as controversial because some believe that the government should be doing more to benefit those who are struggling. By creating this piece I wanted to create something positive surrounding homelessness.  In my opinion I successfully did this because I showed the teamwork and support that can stem from homelessness.
